20 simple habits to lose weight without dieting

My personal experience with various vegan diets – Low-carb or low-fat?

Here I share with you my personal experience with various vegan diets. Please read my conclusions at the end of the post too.

OK, let’s see my few years-long experiments with testing various popular vegan diets.

I am a researcher by training, I like to do experiments, even on myself. So I tried some approaches to see how my body reacts to certain changes in my diet.

What I found after these experiments is that it’s better to simply listen to my body than to follow diets. Our bodies know what is best for them and it can be completely different for you and me. Also, don’t be surprised if you find your food preferences change as you age or go through different life stages (puberty, pregnancy, perimenopause, menopause).

Important note:

These weight gains and losses are 2-3 kilos, not much really. The time frame of the described personal experience with these vegan diets is about 15 years, so I don’t often change my diet significantly. The aim was just to experiment and find a way of eating I enjoy the most and can sustain in the long term, while I’m healthy, happy, slim, have enough energy and my skin looks good. I know, I have a “few” requests đŸ™‚

Do you want to lose weight? Design the perfect diet for yourself. Low-carb or low-fat?

Low-carb or low-fat? How to lose weight?

The diet industry makes you feel confused

Low-carb or low-fat? Are you confused about what to eat? I’m not surprised. There are so many different diets out there contradicting each other it makes your head spin.

The popular Keto diet tells you to eat high-fat, low-carb foods to lose weight and keep your blood sugar under control (to prevent or control diabetes), while others advocate a high-carb, low-fat diet to prevent or reverse heart disease and diabetes and lose weight.

Bodybuilders say you need to eat a lot of protein to build muscle and lose fat, while doctors/scientists tell you that too much protein in your diet causes cancer.

So now what? What should we eat to be healthy and lose weight?
