What is your purpose and what keeps you from fulfilling it

In this post, I show you how to discover your life mission and what stops you from fulfilling your purpose.

What is your purpose?

“If I could spend my life doing one thing, what would I really love doing?” (Bob Proctor)

By answering this question, you will find your life purpose. It may seem like an easy question but it can take weeks or months to find the answer.

Everything fulfills a purpose in this world. Plants provide oxygen and food for us, rain gives water to the living things, sand and rocks filter the water, the Sun makes the temperature warm enough for life, the bees pollinate the flowers, etc. While these are set purposes, for example, the trees can’t decide to provide oxygen or not, we humans can choose our life purpose.

Discovering your purpose gives your life real meaning.

The two most important days in your life are the day you are born and the day you find out why.” Mark Twain

Discovering your life purpose

Discovering your life purpose means you find out why you are getting out of bed every morning. If your answer is: Because I need to go to work, it is the wrong answer. Unless you absolutely love your job (that’s awesome, keep doing it, that’s your purpose, fulfill it!!), you go to work because you need to pay your bills.

Your purpose is your reason for living. Like it was painting for Michelangelo and writing for Shakespeare. Every person is hardwired to do something, they have a special talent or skill. It could be some kind of art or sport, writing, researching, helping others, serving, being a good mother and wife, and so on.

Once you discover your purpose you will never work another day in your life because you will love what you are doing. You will be passionate about it and eager to get out of bed every morning to fulfill your purpose.

I share with you 3 simple ways to discover your true life purpose. It’s FREE.

The meaning of life is to find your gift. The purpose of life is to give it away.” Picasso

Once you discovered your reason for life, hopefully, you will want to fulfill your purpose and will act on it. You will create your vision, which shows you what you need to do to live your life purposefully. Then you set your bite-size goals to get there.

However, if you find yourself not acting on fulfilling your purpose, these three things are most likely to stop you and keep you stuck, frustrated or even depressed.

3 Things That Keep You from Fulfilling Your Purpose

There is an important step you can take to get you out of that rut. You can decide to take control now and identify what it is that is stopping you from moving forward. Chances are, you’re in the grip of one or more of the following three most common things that stop people from finding and living their life mission and fulfilling their purpose.

1. Self-doubt

The best of us can be prey to self-doubt at some point in our lives. It’s part of the human condition and a way of keeping yourself safe in an often-confusing world. Fear of failure is perhaps the biggest thing that holds people back from living their true potential. And in a world that values conspicuous success and wealth, striking out for something you believe in can be risky.

But if you stay stuck in the fearful mindset, it’s guaranteed you will never achieve anything. Staying small prevents you from acting, it prevents you from growing and being your best you.

Solution 1 for fulfilling your purpose:

I highly recommend you to use these self-hypnosis audios to stamp out your fear and open up to the amazing possibilities ahead!

Fear of Failure

Fear of Success

Let go of Limiting Beliefs

What is self-hypnosis?

I tell you all about it at the end of this previous post. It is absolutely safe and very effective. You just relax and listen to a lovely voice asking you questions. By answering these questions in your head, you learn about yourself and change your thinking pattern about your abilities.

Try a self-hypnosis audio here. You can choose from Find your Life Purpose, Achieve your Goals, Visualization Success, Attitude of Gratitude, Eliminate Stress, Positive Thinking, and Law of Attraction Hypnosis audios completely free.

2. Other people’s opinion

Self-doubt feeds on caring what other people think of you. There will always be a plentiful supply of naysayers trying to stop you from living your dreams. And it’s a cast-iron guarantee that whatever your life purpose is, there will be people who doubt your dream and your capacity to achieve it.

But there will also be people who support you, who believe in you. And the biggest cheerleader should be you! You don’t need permission to live your purpose. You only need conviction and the will to pursue your passion.

Solution 2 for fulfilling your purpose:

You know why you really shouldn’t care about other people’s opinions? Because whatever they say, it will be only 1 % of your thoughts in your head. Our head is buzzing with thoughts all day long, nonstop. You should be concerned about these thoughts. Because you can’t control other people’s opinions, but you can control your thoughts. You can love, cheer and support yourself, or let your outer or inner critics pull you down. What will you choose?

Use these self-hypnosis audios to help you care less about what other people think or say. It’s so easy and effortless to increase your confidence this way.

3. Lacking intention

Not many people talk about this aspect of life purpose but living intentionally is integral to staying true to your life purpose. It’s no good to have a dream or a passion and being lackadaisical about it.

Step up to the plate and be intentional about your purpose. Approach it as you would any other project. Be organized, be methodical, and give your purpose the care and attention it deserves.

That means writing it down, having a plan, and making yourself accountable. Start with taking the attention off yourself and think about the impact you want to have on the world. What legacy do you want to leave?

Solution 3 for fulfilling your purpose:
