becoming fearless - how to overcome your fears

Becoming fearless – how to overcome your fears

Are you Fearless?

Are you fearless? When it comes to facing your fears how daring are you? Do you turn in the opposite direction? Do you tremble and hope the feeling passes? Or, do you stand firm and always face your fears head-on?

Life offers plenty of everyday opportunities for us to face our fears. Whether it’s asking your crush out on a date, speaking in public, or asking for a raise, no fear is too big or too small to challenge – and we all have within us the potential to be fearless.

Dread, tension, difficulty breathing, rapid heartbeat, sweating, racing thoughts, and ‘butterflies’ are just a few of the feelings we associate with fear.

It’s no wonder so many of us choose, one way or another, to sidestep our fears. After all, who wants to feel those uncomfortable feelings?

But…

What if your fears aren’t designed to scare you?

What if fear is personal development in disguise

What if your fears were a doorway into new and exciting prospects? What if fear is an opportunity for personal growth in disguise?

“Don’t be afraid of your fears. They’re not there to scare you. They’re there to let you know that something is worth it.” C. JoyBell C.

Picture what your life would look like if you consistently faced off against your fears, both big and small. What would it feel like to boldly confront your fears, never letting them interfere with what you want to accomplish? Imagine what you could achieve if you never again let fear get in your way.

How to feel balanced during diffcult times

A balanced life – how to enjoy life while you slay goals

A balanced life – can we achieve our goals and enjoy life at the same time?

We often have the feeling that we can either achieve our goals or enjoy life. Having both in our lives, a.k.a. having a balanced life is difficult. We feel like we can’t be a hundred percent fulfilled in both departments.

If you’re like most people, you probably think that only other people can have them both, who are super extraordinary, and you feel that you don’t fall into the mix. Today, the demands of work, career, education, family, and homeownership seem to take priority over enjoyment. We schedule relaxation time as a once-a-month outing or even an annual vacation. However, even those pleasures seem to be filled with work.

Are you waiting for retirement to enjoy your life? Many people feel as though they are waiting for life to happen rather than creating the life they want.

Creating a balanced life

If you think about being balanced, you might imagine a seesaw or an old fashioned balance in the position of being directly balanced in the middle. When it goes up or down it’s out of balance. It needs an effort to keep it in the middle position and it only stays in the there when the weights on the two sides are perfectly matched.

Life works similarly. There are ups and there are most certainly downs. Sometimes you might feel as though you just want to jump off the seesaw and lay on the ground for a little while to just gain your equilibrium back.

So what can make you happier, more focused and energetic in just a few minutes a day?

You can do it in your bed before you get up in the morning or before going to sleep at night. You can do it while having a relaxing soak in a nice hot bath. You can do it on an aeroplane to help pass the time on a long journey. In fact, you can do it wherever you are, at any time of the day, as long as you have the time and the inclination to do so.

in just 12 minutes a day become happier, more focused and more energetic #meditation #happiness #focus

You probably guessed it by now. Yes, it’s meditation.

Do you know someone who meditates? Probably you do as more and more people take on the practice of meditation. For some of them, it’s a daily practice, while for others it’s just for emergency situations. What are some of those emergency situations? It’s those moments when you feel like your life is spinning out of control. It’s for times when you can’t seem to get out of your own way.

It was also an “emergency situation” when I first turned to meditation. I was extremely stressed and overwhelmed trying to juggle work commitments and motherhood, up to the point when I started to have panic attacks out of nowhere. I was desperately trying to find a solution to relieve stress.

As working less, walking in nature, self-care and other recommended approaches were not feasible at that moment, I figured I could meditate for a few minutes every night before I fall asleep and see how it goes. And it worked, I felt fresher, happier, more focused, and more energetic than usual. I was able to deal with stressful situations much better. Then it became an almost daily practice.

If you want to conquer the anxiety of life, live in the moment, live in the breath.

I was once like you.  I always felt the fear and pressure when I wanted to start a new goal in my life.  For example, when I wanted to start writing and blogging.  One of my biggest fear was writing in English since it is not my mother tongue.  However, I knew that I wanted to do this for a long time, and I love expressing my feelings, ideas, thoughts, and experiences through writing.  So, I had to overcome this fear, and start slow and keep learning every single day.  I have to remind myself every day that life is a skill that we need to enhance each and every day if we want to be the best at it.

In this article, I want to share with you the seven powerful ways that can help you empower and inspire yourself on this journey of achieving your best self and greater personal growth.

life changing goal planners

5 Life Changing Undated Goal Planner Reviews

Here you will find 5 undated goal planner reviews.

When you find yourself not reaching your goals, there are two main reasons you can look into:

  • You don’t articulate the goal specifically enough
  • You are stuck in the habit circuits of your brain

Having a goal planner can change your life by solving both issues. Most goal planners start with helping you choose your goals. You sit down and think about what you want to achieve and you come up with specific goals and a plan on how to achieve them. The act of writing down your goals cements them deeper within the mind. The planner also serves as an accountability partner as you write down what you did to get closer to your goals. You also form new habits this way and you reflect on what worked and what didn’t. It helps you stay focused on what you’re trying to achieve and in turn, makes you more likely to actually achieve it.

How to change your negative thoughts – the power of your mind

free training to stop emotinal eating and stress eating

In this post, I show you how to change the negative thoughts constantly popping up in your head.

Do you know the saying, “You are what you eat”? It’s so true. But you know what else is true? “You are what you think”.

Our brain is a supercomputer and it works tirelessly to realize the things we think of and repeatedly imagine about ourselves. If you keep having negative thoughts about yourself, for example, “I have a bad memory”, you surely won’t remember the name of your new acquaintances. Or if you tell yourself: “I’m a loser”, your brain will make sure it comes true too.

That’s why it’s extremely important to change your negative thoughts about yourself!

Your negative inner critic can really undermine your self-esteem and it can lead to low confidence, anxiety, self-sabotage, and even depression. If you want to lose weight or have a fitness goal, it is especially important to change your negative thoughts since they can make it really hard or even impossible to achieve your goals. In fact, when you start to crave unhealthy foods or habits, most of the time it is a sign of your inner critic’s actions.

How to use trance-like focus to slay your goals

Trance-like focus to slay your goals

Albert Einstein once said, “It’s not that I’m so smart, it’s just that I stay with problems longer.”

Einstein, considered by many to be the greatest mind of the 20th century, was known for mulling over his questions until falling into a semi-trance. In these states of deep contemplation, he made fascinating discoveries, then spent countless hours working back out of the maze to make his discoveries translatable to others.

The trick to sustainable success in any arena is not, as many believe, to be the smartest or most educated person in the room, or to be born into wealth and opportunity. Rather, the trick is to become so focused on the goal and so determined not to give up that all distractions fade into the background, and the answers rise to the top.

If you would like to see more success in your endeavors, here are 4 simple tips to help you get and stay focused so you can achieve your goals:

The 10 best inspirational feel good podcasts you need in your life

I love podcasts! Especially the inspirational feel good podcasts! I used to be a huge YouTube fan but about half a year ago discovered the podcast world and I’ve got hooked.

I used to watch, well mainly listen to, YouTube videos while cooking, cleaning and folding the laundry to make these boring tasks a bit more interesting. But it wasn’t very effective. I had to look at the screen from time to time, so things went a bit slower than they would’ve without this distraction. As I don’t have much time, I had to figure out something because I absolutely hate cleaning. Need some entertainment to make it somehow more bearable. I don’t mind folding the laundry and cooking but they can get boring too. Used to love cooking, trying new recipes and getting creative in the kitchen. But since I have two picky eaters in the house, cooking became pretty boring. Just making the same meals over and over and over again. (Of course, I experiment a bit, introducing new foods, but usually with not much success).

I also like learning new stuff and these minutes or hours during household chores could potentially be used for that too. First I started to listen to audiobooks. It was good but I prefer reading. Going back to a sentence I liked, thinking about it, highlighting it, getting involved. With audiobooks, it is really difficult to go back and find again what I liked.

Get rid of bad habits with the power of your brain

Use your brain to get rid of bad habits – 5 effective steps

How to get rid of bad habits

This post is about how to get rid of bad habits by using neuroplasticity.

Our brain is amazing. It waits for our orders patiently and executes them diligently. The brain controls automatically our breathing, heart, and digestive system and it processes all the information coming from our sensory organs (eyes, ears, nose, mouth, skin). We can learn new things, remember old experiences, recognize objects and people all because of our brain.

If our brain is so powerful, why is it not able to make us happy? Why can’t we use our brain to get rid of our bad habits, such as smoking, overeating, drinking, procrastinating, overspending, laziness, swearing, nail-biting, worrying, being late all the time? Why doesn’t it help us eliminate depression, frustration, fear, and other unpleasant mind states?
